GroupOn Vacation “Staycation” in Austin

Girls and boys we all need time off but having a limited budget always is an issues in my world. So this time I decided to do a stay-cation where you stay at home but do things for yourself. Sleep in but have a reason to go out because you planned activities outside your home. But money, yeah I want the massage and facial along with some new hair and can someone else clean my house, thank you. So with these things on my mind I turned to GroupOn I had only used it once for my birthday for a girlfriend and me to go to a Korean Spa but never thought about being a heavy user. Personally I always feel bad, I know the service is only getting paid half so it does make a person feel a little guilty. Not only are you getting a great deal but they basically are doing it for free. So I thought this is how I would feel better. I always wanted to find someone that can actually cut my hair even if it was $100 I would love a good cut something beyond supercuts. I want to find services I would repeat that way I meant something to both parties, so with that I removed the massage, I do have a place and I like to go and the price is reasonable.

My house, my face & hair plus sleeping in is what this staycation is all about. I live here in Austin and can do shit all the time so this is something else, like restating my life, not to be over dramatic but yeah. Getting your house in order is huge, for me at least. I run an Etsy store and am an artist and both of those take stuff to do it. And I hate buying it twice complex and having my place in order gives me the mental time to create more, it’s a win win. So that was number one.

Hair my hair the hair, god please it’s always long, because I like it that ways but it’s getting hot and I need a real cut. Also the color, lets face it I’m getting up there and the gray is all over the place and I wanted something to blend it in, work with it, it’s actually white and I like it. Oh and my face, I never do much more than wash and maybe a mask so this was a real treat.

The advice part of this post. My advice is to plan ahead. Most of these places are getting slammed with clients because of the great deal so make sure you plan ahead. I did a week and couldn’t get into a few places. Also I called and said hey I’m about to buy your groupon deal and wondered if you had any openings. Also be upfront on the phone while scheduling, they could be working for themselves and think they are getting the full price, always good to say it while you schedule your appointments.

Be prepared to be stocked by groupon, those cookies are strong. So yeah we all know that we are now open game to anything we view but dang this is a bit much. They over take any other ads you might have ever thought about viewing. This is what I mean. I go to overnightprints.com and will shop and not buy so I get deals through the cookies and ads. But groupon seems to take over anything else I might see. To me not all ads are bad but dang dial it back a bit Groupon.

Ok here is what I did and ended up with.

This is me before… Jennifer Lorence at Joel Ray Salon the GroupOn was $67.00 and that was 60%off. I made another appointment in 12 weeks!

Here is me in the middle of having my hair done.

Here is my hair now!

LOVE IT!

My facial was done at Victory Medical Rachel szawielenko GroupOn for $63.00

My face is smooth and shiny with oils in this pic. What a way to relax, the music and she did a great job. Woke up the next day baby smooth and happy skin.

Now my home needs a little love. I spent time cleaning and organizing to get my place ready for someone to actually clean it. So to GroupOn I went and found Yess $55.00 and had them come do the real cleaning. Now I have a nice and tidy home and am ready for the summer!
