So I had the pleasure last week meeting with a new start up that is building thier buisness for the next two years to sell it. So when you talk to companies that are up front about that fact that after 2 years you won’t have a hjob this is what what the interviewer then says to me. “I don’t want someone working for me that has their own side buisnesss.” And this was directed towards me and my doodles and I’m sure my freelance design business and I get that.
So of coarse didn’t get the work, which was not a suprise like I could walk away from my doodles or my clients just like that. And I doodle because I love it it’s my quiet time, my peace, the joy, the sadness, experiences all wrapped up into one. Give that up, I think not sir.
So I embrace my doodles and opened my own online store. I already sell in two local Austin stores and I am always using my little doodle 1 inch buttons as currency. So yes embrace the issue he had with me and welcome to my new store.
